I am Jen Scott
I am *cough* years old (but I’m pretty sure there was a mistake and I’m still in my 20’s), I live in the Southside of Glasgow with my husband, 3 daughters and a dog called Jasper.
I come from a design background, but I’ve always loved photography. I took the plunge & bought my first DSLR in 2014, swiftly followed by a one day course with the amazing Julie Christie learning how to use it, and the rest is self taught!
I guess I see the world in a different way to more left-brained people. I constantly view the world around me as a photographic opportunity, which can really irritate my family sometimes let me tell you!
I ‘see’ beautiful photos in the weirdest of places, I’m utterly dedicated & committed (not in a padded cell kind of way!) and I strongly believe that photographs are one of the most important items you can own.
As Missy Mwac said…
“If you don’t think photographs are important, wait until they are all you have left”
I strive to treat my clients how I would like to be treated; with honestly, humility and complete transparency, there are never any surprises. Every client is a VIP and I aim to deliver a brilliant, fun, memorable experience with a gallery of beautiful images that you’ll smugly be inviting people over to see!
Things you should probably know…
I don’t allow the phrase ‘cheese’ at my sessions, I might take you ‘off-road’ if I see a spot I love, I will probably lie on the ground or stand in a stream at some point to get the shot I want, I play very immature games like Grannies Pants, there’s every chance I will do my chimpanzee impression to get the attention of small children and although I will pose you, the aforementioned immature games will then begin!
If I’m photographing your wedding, I promise not to do chimpanzee impressions.
