The Houston Family Photoshoot

The Houston Family Milestone Photoshoot

To mark their 25 year anniversary, Caitlin’s 18th and Roisin’s 50th, they decided to have a family photoshoot, and what a wise choice that was!

I have known this beautiful family for almost 19 years and have been photographing them since Caitlin’s Holy Communion in 2014!

When I look back at the kids Holy Communion photos I see little babies, and now they’re all so grown up – but the silver lining is that The Houstons chose to document these milestones and they have beautiful, professional photos on their wall, and not just a million photos on their phones!

Wise Houstons, very wise!!

Luke & Emily’s Houston House Wedding

Emily & Luke's Houston House Wedding

A most beautiful day for a wedding at the gorgeous Houston House near Broxburn, and not a drop of rain to boot! Emily got ready with the girls at the hotel, climbing out the window for a dressing gown shot to avoid guests showed me that she was game for anything!

I whooshed down the road to their house where the boys were, so they didn’t feel left out of getting ready shots, then back to the hotel for a most beautiful ceremony!

The bridal party was up for some silliness which always pleases me and means my couples get some less traditional photos, and aren’t bored out of their minds!

One of the best parts of the day was the Brass Band, who Luke plays with (but not this day!) – they played some amazing music in the courtyard and the sound was incredible! The evening was finished with some awesome ceilidh dancing, which the English contingency seemed to love, and some chilling in the courtyard and of course, a photobooth!

Jasmine & Jacob’s Engagement Shoot

Jasmin & Jacob's Engagement Shoot

This lovely couple are from Florida, but found themselves in Glasgow for a tour Jacob was working on, and decided that our fair city would be a lovely place for an engagement shoot!

We choose Pollok Park for some Meghan Markle/Bridgerton vibes and what a lovely 2 hours we had!

There are so many beautiful spots in this park, all within a short walk, which is helpful with heels! (Jasmine, not me!)

Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness and I hope the Floridian weather is playing nicer than ours!!

Baby Eloise’s Newborn Shoot

Baby Eloise's In-house Newborn Shoot

Emma & Josh invited me to their beautiful home to capture those heady days of having your first newborn at home.

Baby Eloise was just super cute and eventually nodded off allowing us to capture those beautiful little details shots.

Babies just grow so fast, and fully aware of this, Emma & Josh wanted to capture it all in all it’s newborn glory!

Even better, the 2 dogs, Ralph & Eddie got involved too! This always makes me really happy!

Sarah & Scott’s Loch Lomond Wedding

Sarah & Scott's Loch Lomond Wedding

A dream location on the banks of Loch Lomond, a dreamily beautiful bride, and an extremely well-coiffed & coordinated bridal party….and of course, Callie & Cooper, the ‘best boy’ and chief dogsmaid! – happy, happy days!

The Cruin is such a beautiful location, a photographer’s dream really! The Groomsmen arrived by speedboat to the private jetty for goodness sake!!

I discovered that my wellies leak and I was only gutted I didn’t bring my wetsuit to get even further into the loch, but it was soooo worth it!

An amazing day, once again, I wish Scott & Sarah (and the dogs!) a lifetime of happiness!

Susan & Louise’s Edinburgh Zoo Wedding

Susan & Louise's Edinburgh Zoo Wedding

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, I freaking love a wedding!

And this one at Edinburgh Zoo was no exception. It was so emotional, raw, and utterly beautiful to watch two people who are so clearly in love, take their vows in front of their thrilled family & friends!

These gorgeous gals decided to tie the knot at the brilliant Mansion House at Edinburgh Zoo. This venue is a little hidden gem and they’re always so lovely to work with!

Both the girls got ready together with their bridesmaids, which was so much fun, but we still did a first look which brought the first set of tears of the day! We also did 2 x Dad first-looks, which is one of my favourite things, and neither dad disappointed with their reactions!

The rain stayed off while we visited the giraffes and did bridal shots, and only drizzled a little when we went to see the penguins after dinner. Thank you weather!

I just had the best day with the loveliest people, and I wish Louise and Susan the most wonderful future together!

Karen & Michael’s Crutherland House Wedding

Karen & Michael's Crutherland House Wedding

Let me start by saying, do not be fooled into thinking this was a dry day ! I have lived in Scotland my whole life, and never ever I have seen the weather change so fast, so often!

However, Karen & Michael were absolute troopers and allowed me to lead them away from the shelter inside to get some dreamy woodland shots! Crutherland House Hotel grounds are perfect for outdoor shots, unfortunately, the weather scuppered a couple of shot ideas, but you can’t have it all!

With a beautifully styled bridal party, the happiest, smiliest bride EVER, gorgeous cherry blossoms for the ceremony, and one of the best reception parties I’ve danced amongst, this was yet another notch on the old belt of the best wedding clients out there!

Emily & Manos’ Glasgow Wedding

Emily & Manos' Glasgow Wedding

A Greek/Scottish Extravaganza!
This was one of the most fun weddings I’ve had the pleasure of photographing, and definitely one of the most colourful and full of traditions!

I started at Emily’s parent’s beautiful home in Busby where the girls were getting beautified (along with Frida the cat!) Emily had rewritten the lyrics to individual songs for her bridesmaids and sang them to them, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house!

I then zoomed over to Manos where he was getting ready with the Greek Contingent…all 30 odd of them! There was Greek music playing and an amazing atmosphere of love!

The wedding was at the beautiful Pollok House, with a ceremony full of emotion of once again, lots of love! With intermittent spells of dry weather, we got all the shots the couple wanted (some of which were so much fun!) and then some!
The first dance was a cheeky little surprise that started off slow, and broke into a choreographed Grease number, while the reception was a beautiful coming together of 2 countries, with both ceilidh and Greek dancing a-plenty!

A brilliant day, and once again, such a privilege to capture

Brandon & Lewis’ Glasgow Wedding

Brandon & Lewis' Glasgow Wedding

This wedding at The Lynnhurst Hotel was an absolute delight from start to finish! Two solid gold lovely guys, with the nicest families ever, the most fun bridal party, and some top-notch partying, equals a winning wedding in my book!

It was a super warm and humid day just outside Glasgow, but you don’t complain when it’s not raining!! There were some beautiful little touches; the bear made from Brandon’s gran’s jumper, and little cufflinks to go on him, an impromptu rendition is Dream Catch Me at the dinner table and a singing waiter who brought down the house!

All in all, another brilliant couple in the bag, I seem to be the luckiest wedding photographer there ever was!

Venue – Lynnhurst Hotel, Johnstone
Makeup – Makeup by Leigh Blaney (fun fact – I designed Leigh’s logo back in the day!)
Hair – The Bride To Be
Celebrant- Susan The Celebrant

Rashmi & Ashwin’s Glasgow Maternity

Rashmi & Ashwin's Glasgow Maternity Photoshoot

At 8 months pregnant, Rashmi wanted to capture the beautiful pregnancy phase and cherish these memories later. With it being their first baby, this part of the journey was really important to them.

We met at Glennifer Brae on a lovely May day and captured some beautiful shots of the glowing Rashmi and her husband….and of course that beautiful bump.

Rashmi & Ashwin went on to have a beautiful, healthy baby boy!
