The best day of your life

It’s one of the most important days of your life. You’ve spent months organising it, or years dreaming about it, make sure it’s captured in all its glory.

Uncle Bob might offer to bring his fancy camera along and maybe that’s ok for you, but I doubt it given you’re reading this! Your entire day will pass in a blur, you’ll miss parts because you’re chatting to Uncle Bob (who’s telling you all about his fancy camera) or because you’re in the loo for 45 minutes with a bride/groomsmaid holding your dress up because you can’t pee without help! And as much as I think the latter would make a brilliant photo, I’ll be working the floor, capturing it all for you!

From the little details, like the flowers, sporrans, rings, dresses and shoes (yes ladies, you know what I’m talking about!), the laughs you’ll be having getting ready with your friends, to stunning portraits of you with your new husband/wife, I’ll capture it all and everything in between.

Maybe you’re eloping or perhaps just having a small, intimate ceremony. Maybe you’re renewing your vows or having the wedding of all weddings with unicorns & 20ft champagne fountains. Whatever the celebration, I’ll capture those special moments that you’ll look back on and never forget.

Love is love, and it’s a joy to be involved in any celebrations that brings two people together. And I do love a good wedding!

Size isn’t everything…

I don’t just shoot big weddings! I’m equally as comfortable shooting smaller, more intimate weddings! I have shot weddings with 2 guests, weddings with just family, and I’ve even done a few wedding ‘sessions’ after the big day!

If you’re going small but mighty, rest-assured, you too deserve to have your big day captured in all it’s glory!

How many doubloons will it set us back?

My wedding costs are super simple!
10-12 hours shooting from getting ready to some fun, drunken reception shots.
500-ish digital photos in both colour & B&W, delivered on USB (and within online gallery as downloads) with 10 mini prints of your choice in a pretty presentation box.
1 warm, personable photographer/ninja who will smile all day & only be bossy occasionally.

What you can expect..

Things I’m asked a lot….

when Will I get my photos?

It can be anywhere between 4-6 weeks (closer to 4!), but I always edit some of the belters to give you a sneak peak within a couple of days! I’ll then spend many (many!) an hour editing the absolute best shots (they don’t all make the cut, no one wants photos with crosseyes or pirate winks!) and making sure your gallery is as beautiful as can be!

How long will you be there?!

I aim to be there from when the wedding party start getting ready, to an hour into the reception to capture those all important fun shots!. This is usually about 8 hours, but can be slightly longer. If I’m needed even longer than 8 hours, this can be arranged, I’m very flexible! I will mingle when necessary (I’m quite a nice person!) and can be stealth ninja when required.

we don’t want hours of photos?

It’s your wedding, we do things your way! I *would* say however, that while you’re all fancied up and looking utterly delectable, you should consider putting time aside for those all important couple shots, they will be wall worthy I promise! Prior to the big day we’ll meet up and discuss all your needs, and rest-assured, I will work with you & the wedding coordinator on the day so I’m always in the right place at the right time!

My mum wants group shots

This is absolutely fine, group shots are always lovely and I aim to get through these as quickly as possible so people aren’t getting bored! I ask you to fill in a little questionnaire nearer the time with any specific groups you’d like, and I may choose a willing assistant to round ’em up like cattle so no one is missing any party time, especially you! And at any point during the day you are free to yell ‘Jennnnnnn’ and grab me for some impromptu group shots!

Do you do albums & frames?

Yes, 100%! I don’t offer these as part of the package as I feel not everyone wants an album (mine has been gathering dust for 12 years!) I can also offer beautifully framed wall art options which is often just a hassle people don’t want! If this is something that tickles your fancy, we can talk shop!

I hate having my photo taken

Yip….most people do! They feel awkward and don’t know what to do with their hands, or whether to cross their legs or look ponderingly into middle distance. Please don’t worry, I’ll make you feel completely at ease, tell you exactly what to do, and most importantly, we’ll have fun!
